Recently, the 46th International Convention on Quality Control Circles (ICQCC) was held in India. Given the recurrence of COVID-19 pandemic worldwide, the Chinese regional branch was set up in Tianjin. Xiaomifeng QC Group Team and Xiaonengshou Team from Guangzhou Baiyunshan Zhongyi Pharmaceutical Company Limited, a subsidiary of Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited (GPHL), attended the case-study presentation and was awarded Par Excellence.

Xiaonengshou Team was established in January 2018. Its case study presented in the event optimized the selection of syringe cleaning solvent and the operation of pipeline cleaning, successfully reducing the failure rate from 12% to 4.3%. It helped to complete various content determination projects with high efficiency and quality, and lowering the maintenance cost of high-end testing instruments.

Xiaomifeng QC Group Team was founded in 2016. Through refining the inspection operation, its case study increased the success rate of inspection from 85% to 100%, which saved the quality cost and improved the inspection efficiency.

Guangzhou Baiyunshan Zhongyi Pharmaceutical Company Limited has established over 60 quality control groups in order to improve its production while ensuring quality. More than 30 studies in total have gained breakthroughs up to now.

First initiated in 1976, ICQCC has been held for 46 sessions. It's the largest, most extensive and cohesive international convention in the field of quality management. This year, there were 904 teams from 13 countries and regions participating in the event. As one of the key member organizations, the China Association for Quality sent 111 teams to attend the convention.
